How can I get a cost estimate for a translation? |
Please contact us in advance by phone, and then we will ask you to forward us the document to be translated by either fax or email. If you don't have possession of the document, be prepared to give us an estimate of the approximate number of characters it contains. We will then contact to you with a quote. |

How do you calculate the quote? |
For translations from Japanese into English, French, German, and other European languages, after the translation work is done, each 200 words in the target language (the language translated to) is converted to one-page units. The number of pages is then multiplied by the unit price to calculate the total price of the translation. For translations of other languages into Japanese, each section unit of 400 Japanese characters is converted to one-page units and the resulting number of pages is then multiplied by the unit price to calculate the total price. For translations that do not involve Japanese (i.e., between two other languages), as a general rule the price is calculated based on the number of pages of the finished translation. |
