Question If I decide to use your interpreting services, about how much is it going to cost?
Answer The number of interpreters and amount of equipment necessary depends on the amount of time required, the subject matter and the number of participants. It is difficult to give an exact amount. If you have specific information, please contact us for a quote.
   
Question Is it impossible for a single interpreter to perform simultaneous interpreting?
Answer Simultaneous interpreting requires an extraordinary amount of concentration. A single interpreter working alone cannot perform long periods of simultaneous interpreting. Generally, interpreters work in shifts of about 15 minutes. Depending on the subject matter, usually two interpreters can handle a job of up to three hours in duration, while longer jobs require three interpreters.
   
Question Can you take care of all of the equipment demands related to a simultaneous interpreting project?
Answer Yes. We provide and remove everything necessary, including the booth that the interpreters use, the receivers used by participants to hear the interpreters' voices, engineers (chief and assistant), recording device and other equipment.
   
Question What kind of interpreters do you have?
Answer The interpreters registered with OWLS come from all kinds of backgrounds with various specialties. When you contact us, we first check that we fully understand the subject matter of your job. We then take into consideration such factors as the interpreter's specialty field, experience and place of residence. Based on these factors, we then introduce you to the interpreter best suited for the job.
